29Tuesday. James sundries in morn.. then at dung_

__heap, John get horses & waggon ready in

morn.., then about dung_heap, Tom not here__

Self to Ottawa in waggon, and Miss Dyer also__

30Wednesday. James cart dung from grain stable to

dung_heap, John about dung_heap, Tom

not here___ got back a little_before 10 o 'C__

31Thursday. James at sundries in morn.., cut & pile

[bunr]_bushes & wheel some dung from sheep_

yard till dinner, then grind scythes& began to

mow peas, John about dung_heap & at sundries

till dinner, then grind scythes, [bunt] out T. Read's

pigs & mow peas, Tom not here___ Self about

sundries, bottle water____

 

August 1856.

 

1Friday. James at his brother's, John about

house in morn.., mow peas, Tom came,

after dinner, mow peas ___ Self about boats

till dinner, then look about & put vine windows in our__

2 Saturday. James mow peas till 4 o 'C.

then house peas, John mow peas, Tom at

after cattle & draw in 2 ½ loads___

Self wedge up 2 axes, show George & Rider where to

cut cedars for ice_house till dinner, then at sundries__
