2Tuesday. James at sundries in morn.. help Lay at icehouse

plates, take down rail fence back of Church_field,

John sundries in morn.. help drive cattle a peice of

the road to the Fair, then plough, Tom the same & rise

stones after plough__ Payne at Fair with ox & stag_

Self kill a lamb in morn.. then to the Fair___

3Wednesday. James load waggon & at sundries in morn..

then draw old end fence out of Woodfield, cut

brush & thin out the trees, To sundries in morn..

then help James, John harness horses & at sundries

in morn,, then thrash peas___ Self to Ottawa

with waggon, took Anne ___ & James the mason home_

4Thursday. James & Tom at sundries in morn.. finish

cleaning up old end of fence in Woodfiled, then

make a little drain in Pigfield from gate towards

workshop, John at home till noon , then thrash peas___

5Friday. James & Tom rise big stones at this end of

16 Acre_field, John thrash wheat & at sundries_

Self got back about 3 o 'C. had dinner, changed one

horse & went back to Hoppersford fawning mill___

6Saturday. James at sundries till dinner, then help repair

fence at Read's end of 16 Acre_field, John

plough pea_land, Tom at sundries & rise stones

after plough, Payne scatter the earth that came

out of the little drain in Pigfield & about sundries__

Self about sundries till dinner, then repair Read's fence_

7 Sunday. John Pinhey came across before breakfast, went back in

the afternoon__horses & carriage all ready to take

Mary_Anne to Ottawa at 3½ P.M. when it began to rain_

8Monday. James at sundries till 10½ o 'C. began to drill a stone

in Church_field, take down rail fence back of

do __ , clean up oats, John & Tom sundries

in morn.., then plough pea stubble & rise the stones

in it, Payne sundries in morn.., thrash & clean oats_

Self to Ottawa in carriage with Mary_Anne, &e__

9Tuesday. James ill , John & Tom plough pea_land & rise

stones in it, Payne thrash peas__Self returned

about 3 o 'C. Con.. & Miss Dyer also______

10Wednesday. James at wood for himself, John & Tom plough &

rise stones in pea_land, & thrash wheat for a

while after dinner, Payne thrash peas till dinner, then

went home___Self grind ax & spoke_shave, make ax handle_

11Thursday. James ill , John & Tom at sundries in morn..,

finish plough & rise stones in pea_land by

noon , then cart earth from granny on to Mill_

_dam road, cart down a load, pea_straw & about

sundries, Payne thrash wheat___Self look too

Millwright , put handle in ax, make spadehandle___

12Friday. James ill, John sundries in morn.. help

clean up wheat & peas till near 5 o 'C, then help

load a few stones in 16 Acre_field, Tom about sundries &

finish dig up stones in _do till near 5 o 'C. then draw

a some out, Payne thrash wheat till breakfast, then

clean up wheat 7 peas, & help load a few stones____

Self new handle irish_spade & 1 oval one, & at sundries___

13 Saturday. James at home, John ill , Tom about sundries

in morn.. thrash peas till dinner, cart wheat &

peas to Mill, help ring spring pigs & at sundries,___

Self about sundries till dinner, ring do, file old crosscut_

14 Sunday. Church P.M.

15 Monday. James about sundries in morn.. cart down a load

wheat straw & saw bottom bunks till dinner, draw a few

stumps out of Churchfield began to lay bottom logs about 4½ o 'C_

John about sundries & digout stumps in Churchfield, Tom not here,

Payne thrash peas, help down with the straw___Self began the fence__

16Tuesday. James & Tom at sundries in morn.. then at fence,

John at home with stiff neck, Payne trash peas till breakfast,

then thrash wheat___ Self at sundries in morn.. then about fence____
