29 Friday. James level earth out of new creek in morn:, rake up hay till dinner, then make hay, Muldoon, Peter level earth out of new creek in morn:, make hay till 11 o;C, then cart in___ Griffin sundries on new land in morn:, then at hay____ George about house &e, & to Rob ts in boat till dinner, then at hay_____ Self walked to Rob ts & back again a short time before dinner____

30 Saturday. James sundries in morn:, put away horse-rake, &e, replace waggon wheels &e, house hay from creek by dinner, then level earth at new creek, Muldoon out the line, Peter fork off a load hay & at sundries in morn:, help in with creek hay, level earth up at new cut, to Aylmer with the Piano-tuner____ Griffin at sundries & help in with creek hay till dinner, then level earth up at new cut____ George sundries_____ Self fasten center bands in arms of waggon & greese 'em___

31 Sunday. Church P.M. Self drove M rs Greene home in the even g ___

AUGUST 1859.

1 Monday. James level earth out of new cut till 4 o'C, then clean up the patch between do & fence, Muldoon level earth till dinner, finish harrow the fallow by 4 o'C, then draw stubs out of the patch, Griffin level earth in morn:, pick up roots till 4 o'C, then help clean up the patch, Peter level earth in morn:, harrow fallow till dinner, then off to sell his meadow, George about house &e, pull g weeds in garden_____ Self look about till 4 o'C, then drove Kate & baby to Luton & down to Rob ts _____

2 Tuesday. James, Muldoon, Peter, Griffin level earth up at new cut & clean up the peice
between do do & fence____ George about house,
Self to Ottawa in buggy_____

3 Wednesday. James & Muldoon cart stones off new land fallow on to road, Griffin pick up roots, Peter finish level the earth up at new cut, help at roots______ George about house & sundries____ Self return d about dark___

4 Thursday. James grind g axes & at sundries till dinner, then in woods after posts for dam, Muldoon grind g axes & pick up roots till dinner, then draw in posts for dam____ Griffin saw soft-wood & pick up roots till dinner, then churn & began to dig up Old dam___ Peter not here, George at home_______ Self rig up new stone with new crank____

5 Friday. James & Muldoon finish pick up roots about noon, then excavate for dam, Griffin & Peter excavate for dam___ George ill_____ self at sundries till dinner, then do nothing but think & talk about dam with Welsh , who came at dinner__

6 Saturday. James & Muldoon excavate for dam till dinner, then to woods after cedars for it___ Peter dig up old dam, Griffin about house & help do for dam____ George ill______ Self refix handles in two irish spades____

7 Sunday. Welsh began yesterday morn: only for an hour_
Church A.M. Self drove Mrs Greene home in the even g : took Constance & Horace, tea d there____

8 Monday. James, Muldoon & Peter dig out old dam___ Griffin after law___ George about house & pull up peas in garden___ Welsh joint plank. Self weigh up 1¼ lbs wool for Anne Major______

9 Tuesday. James & Griffin dig up old dam,
Muldoon help at timber for dam till dinner, then
draw it in, Peter help at dam, & repair fence outside
George's gate______ Welsh joint g plank.
