in ice house-house, George back by the boat, paint work_

shop, at sundries, fodder cattle__ Collins bin g ice-house_

22Thursday. James about horses & work sawmill, Muldoon

to Berry's with a note in morn.., brought home

the yearlings, then the foal & at sundries till

dinner, off to Aylmer , Peter thrash peas in morn..,

help bring the foal home & at sundries till noon ,

then to Aylmer , Griffin fill steam box, paint g..

work shop, feed pigs morn.. & even g.. ____Collins

make trough for poulty, partly plane some

clap_boards for west end of Lay_cottage, then

floor part of N o.. 2 cellar at foot of steps___

23Friday. James about horses in morn.. at sundries &

work sawmill, Muldoon back by the boat,

saw wood & at sundries till dinner, thrash peas_

Peter not here, Griffin finish paint g work-shop

sometime before dinner, thrash wheat, feed pigs

morn.. & even g , George about cattle &e, lay down

the vines & at sundries _____ Collins finish cellar

floor in N o ..2, clap-board upper and of Lay cottage,

remake putty_Self confined to the house all_

_most all day, file hard-wood saw & old hand_saw__

24Saturday. James about horses & work sawmill, Muldoon thrash

peas, Peter saw wood, to Benny's for things from

Ottawa , churn & about sundries, Griffin thrash

wheat till dinner, then to Aylmer , George about

cattle &e, fill steambox & about sundries__

clean up peas, draw them & pea straw down by

dinner, then unload it, clean up wheat & at sundries_

Griffin not here, George about cows &e,

steam last of tatoes, mix'em ____

Self went out for about two hours before

dinner, found myself worse for it, rig d out ox-sleigh___

took 67 lbs of Joe Smith's prov d .. for fat g .. cows__

27Tuesday. James about horses morn.. & even g .., finish saw

last of bass-logs by dinner, dust & put up 3

double windows , file mill-saw, Muldoon

thrash wheat, Peter thrash peas till dinner,

help with double windows, saw wood & at

sundries, Griffin not here, George about

cattle &e____Self very poorly last night put

a mustard blister on region of liver, in house all day__

28Wednesday. James aobut horses morn.. & even g .. work

sawmill, Muldoon thrash wheat in

morn.., draw down 2 loads straw, pile bass_

_boards by dinner, draw 3 pine & some oak logs

to mill, pile more lumber, Peter thrash peas

in morn.., then same as Muldoon, Griffin

not here, George about pigs, cattle, &e____

Self out for a short time before dinner, & for a good while after___

Muldoon saw hardwood in morn.. then draw

in wood for himself & George , Peter thrash peas

& to Rob ts , Griffin not here, George about pigs,

cattle &e_____ Self in house all day____

30Friday. James about horses, work sawmill,

Muldoon clean up wheat till dinner,

draw down pea_straw, Peter thrash peas

till near 10 o' C, help clean up wheat till dinner,

help with pea-straw thrash again, Griffin

back by the boat yesterday even g .. no work to day__
