12 Thursday. James at wood for himself, John about cattle & sundries___ Self improving____

13 Friday. James about horses in morn - , then at sawlogs, John about cattle &e ____ Self mending___

14 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , draw in sawlogs, John to Ottawa with his wife__ Self getting better, but slowly____

15 Sunday. Ham & family, Charley & John came up yesterday even g , went back this even g ___ Self mending slowly____

16 Monday. James & Rider lay up 25 sawlogs, John about house & sundries, thrash oats for a start___ Self getting better___

17 Tuesday. James draw in sawlogs with horses, Rider with oxen, John about house & sundries___ Anna and Mary to Ottawa , George took them in the cutter__

18 Wednesday. James & Rider X cut, fall & X cut sawlogs, and lay them up, John about cattle &e, thrash oats___ John Pinhey brought back Anna & Mary____

19 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , finish drawing in sawlogs__ John about cattle &e, then he & Rider draw 1 load hay from little log barn (the last) to cow-loft, 1 load from white barn to Horses, 1 load from log barn to Sheep, & 1 load Siberian straw to cow loft__ Constance to Ottawa with John Pinhey, George returned with horse & cutter___ Self still getting better the last 3 days, sat up in the big chair for some time this evenging._____

20 Friday. James about horses in morn - , cut roads through cordwood till dinner, then mix wheat & measure it up, then saw wood, John about cattle &e, draw 1 load oat straw to Sheep-loft & same green bushes to sheep by dinner, then saw wood, help measure up wheat, then thrash oats__ Rider at sundries till dinner, then draw wood for George___ George saw wood till dinner, then at wood for himself__ Jay file wood-saws___ Self sat up in chair again__

21 Saturday. James to Steam-mill, get back about 3 o'C, put away the flour, took his dinner at home, then to Benny's for beer, John about cattle &e, saw wood & at sundries___ Rider draw 4 load cordwood (the first)___ George to Ottawa with Anna__ Self sat up & dressed for a few hours this even.___

22 Sunday. Kate & children out for a drive in the afternoon__ Self got up before noon & shaved___

23 Monday. James about horses in morn - , then draw in 7 trips cordwood, Rider draw in 4 loads cordwood, John about cattle &e, help shovel snow off ice & saw ice___ George help about ice___

24 Tuesday. James ill, mixed 20 bush s wheat, ? Bl k Sea & ?
Siberian, John about horses & cattle, load ice house, Rider help at ice, George to Ottawa___ Self got up yesterday & today soon after breakfast, and remained up till about 9 o'C____

25 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , draw in 5 trips of cordwood & measure up the wheat he mixed yesterday, Rider draw in 4 load cordwood, John about cattle &e, saw ice__ George about ice__ Self about my book these 2 or 3 days past_____

26 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , then to Steam-mill, took Julia with him, got back about noon, then but in the grey mare for a run till dinner, then draw in 2 trips cordwood, Rider draw in 4 loads cordwood, John about cattle &e, nearly finish load ice house, George help at ice___ Self do a great deal with my book____

27 Friday. James about horses & sundries in morn - , then to steammill for the flour & back again about 11 o'C, put away flour & shake the bags by dinner, then draw in 2 trips cordwood, Rider draw in 4 load cordwood, John ill till noon, then saw wood, finish fill ice-house, clean out gran - stable & about house__ George finish about cattle &e after breakfast, saw some wood for me, to the post for apple, help skin the lamb, help finish the ice___
