21 Tuesday. James work sawmill, Rider fill up holes on lay-land in morn - , then at softwood, Griffin fodder cattle &c in morn - , mix pigs food, clean kitch - pipe & at sundries till dinner, fill up some holes on lay, pile board, do up the cattle &e___ John about horses in morn - , draw a drag in for James, sweep Parlour chimney, get plough &e ready by dinner, then began ploughing grassland at this end of 16 Acre field___ Self out for about 2 hours in afternoon__

22 Wednesday. James work sawmill, John about horses and plough grassland, Rider saw wood in morn - , then chop softwood, Griffin fodder cattle &e, kill a roaster, then chop soft wood___ Self out of doors most of the afternoon, fasten handle in Irish spade & at sundries___

23 Thursday. James work sawmill, John about horses in morn - , plough grassland, put Spring shoe on bad hoof again, he tore it off at noon, Rider saw wood in morn - , then at softwood, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , put a load hay on horse-loft & about 4 cwt on Cow-loft, draw logs to Mill till dinner, then pile boards & plough, do up cattle &e___ Self out most of the afternoon, look about sawmill & see to pileing lumber____

24 Friday. James finish giving the millsaw a good fileing, then saw, John plough grassland, Rider split long pine junks in morn - , then chop softwood, Griffin about cattle &e, kill a roaster, chop do.. do ___ George to Berry's for yeast in morn., cut bl k Currant bushes & at sundries in garden till 3 o'C, fill up holes on grassland till 5 o'C then sift peas in gran - ___ Self out most of the afternoon___ M rs Greene & Anna spent the day here__

25 Saturday. James work sawmill, John about horses and plough grassland, Rider saw wood in morn - , then chop soft-wood, Griffin about cattle &e in morn - , kill a roaster, put on a boiler of bad cups, clean out all the calves & at sundries till dinner and for a while after, then chop softwood, do up cattle &e___ M r Richardson here about assessment, Self not out today____

26 Sunday. M rs Greene to dinner, Rob t here in afternoon, both took tea, John Pinhey & Constance came round in Ham's two wheeled carriage, got here about 6 o'C______

27 Monday. James work sawmill, John about horses in morn - , roll some logs to Mill, grind axes, sort over tatoes & at sundries, Rider help with logs to Mill, help grind axes, sort tatoes & at sundries, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , help with logs to Mill, kill a roaster, sort over tatoes & about sundries____ Jay came about 11 o'C, repair harrow by 5 o'C___ & off___

28 Tuesday. James work sawmill, John about horses in morn - , began to plough a piece grassland nearer to Read's, Rider at O'Neil bee, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , then at sundries, draw 1 load hay to Cow-loft & saw wood till dinner, draw a few logs to Mill, then plough lay with oxen where John left off on act. of mud-hole___ Self not out of door's today or yesterday_____

29 Wednesday. James help repair end of rag-wheel shaft, next the flume till about 10 o'C. then go on sawing, Rider sundries in morn - , help put Con - 's girl across the water, down to Berry's & at sundries till dinner, then at softwood, John not here till after breakfast, plough 2 nd piece of grassland till dinner, cast peas & harrow to field, then harrow peas, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , then at sundries for a while, plough head-ridge of the 4 acre at this end of 16 Acre-field & began at this side of 2 nd grassland by dinner, draw in a log for James' house by 5 o'C, then plough again_____ 5 o'C, then plough again_____ Jay here about 3 hours repairing sawmill. Self out most of afternoon_____

30 Thursday. James work sawmill till dinner, then file the saw, John about horses in morn., plough in 12 Acre-field till dinner, then finish harrow the peas, Rider split pine in morn - , help in with logs to Mill, draw a few loads of earth from quarry to fill up at near of stone bridge, then cart dung to Old Pigfield, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , draw logs to Mill, kill calf, then plough in 16-Acre field_____ Self out of doors soon after breakfast, look about, rig up hen-coop, fix up Cow-yard - yard gate, lower green gate & at sundries___
