18 Tuesday. James about horses in morn - , then at wood for himself, Muldoon sundries in morn - , chop fence logs, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , help load sleigh with sundries, saw wood & about house____ Self to Ottawa, George with me, took Anna on from Aylmer____

19 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , help rig out bobs till 11 o'C, then draw fence logs, Muldoon saw wood in morn - , lay up 20 fence logs till dinner, the draw a load straw to Cow-loft, & 1 load hay to Horses, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - saw wood till diner, then help with straw & hay____ Rider came at breakfast, help lay fence logs till dinner, then chop__ Self put new bunk on front bob - & at sundries till dinner, weigh tallow & lard, to Rob ts & Streets.

20 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , lay up 30 fence logs, Muldoon thrash Bl k Sea__ Griffin about cattle &e, thrash oats, Rider help at fence-logs___ Self to Ottawa with lard & some of John's things__

21 Friday. James about horses in morn - , grind ax & lay up 15 fence logs till dinner, then draw wood for George , Muldoon thrash Bl k Sea, Rider saw wood in morn - , help at fence logs till dinner, then chop some, Griffin about cattle & sundries in morn - , kill the ewe that got hurt, thrash oats & do up the things____ Self nail tin on pole of bob-sleigh, fix up 2 nd saw for hardwood &e___
