9 Monday. James about horses in morn:, then to the Interior on Filo to get his boots repair d _ Muldoon & Petert water from river in morn:, chop soft-wood____ Griffin not here, George about cattle &e_____ Self repair g floor of sawmill till 11 o'C_ at Vestry-meeting till dinner, at sawmill floor again___

10 Tuesday. James about horses morn: & even g , thaw both water-gates of Sawmill with hot water, rig up a splash-board in Gristmill to keep the stones dry__ Muldoon & Peter sundries in morn: then chop soft, Griffin returned by Merriefeilds A.M. did not work___ George about cattle &e_____ Self help free water-gates of Sawmill, pin the short plank to posts of flume, file millsaw___

11 Wednesday. James about horses morn: & even g , help at sundries in Sawmill till dinner, then help with straw, Muldoon & Peter at sundries in morn:, then at soft-wood, Griffin saw wood in morn:, cart slabs till dinner, then cart straw to Cow-loft___ George about cattle &e____ Self finish file the saw , then broke it in two by trying to gum it with a cold chisel, put another old one in & filed it up_____

12 Thursday. James work sawmill, do up horses in even g _ Muldooon about horses in morn:, chop cedars fit for bunks, Peter help put away some of the sleighs in morn:, then to Berry's rising___ Griffin draw sleighs up to log barn in morn:, draw in fence logs till dinner, then lay up bunk stuff, George about cattle &e_______ Self at sundries till 4 o'C_ then to Ottawa in buggy__

13 Friday. James work sawmill, do up horses in even g __ Muldoon about horses in morn:, then at soft-wood, Peter at home till noon, then at do__ do__, Griffin finish cart up slabs, draw in bunk stuff__, then at soft-wood__ George about cattle &e_____ Self got home about sunset______

14 Saturday. James saw till about 9 o'C, at sundries till near 5 o'C, saw again, Muldoon about horses in morn:, roll logs to Mill, cart a load oat-straw to Cow-loft, & 1 load hay to Horses_ then at sundries, Peter saw wood in morn:, roll logs to mill, chop hardwood poles that came out of 13 Acre-feild, Griffin saw wood in morn:, roll logs to mill, help with straw & hay till dinner, then about sundries, George about cattle &e_______ Self puting in & filing new mill-saw from about 10 o'C till 4½ o'C_____

15 Sunday. Church A.M. Sara-Jane rode in to play for Miss Butler who took care of Baby while Kate was at church, then Miss Butler rode back with her father & Sara-Jane slept here___

16 Monday. James saw in morn:, & for an hour after, then help at repairs about large water-gate, Muldoon about horses in morn:, then draw stumps & cart roots in Woodfeild___ Peter & Griffin at sundries in morn: then pile stumps__ George about cattle &e___ Self went to blast some stumps, had to leave m & repair water-gate of Sawmill____

17 Tuesday. James help at repairs in mill till about 3 o'C, then saw, Muldoon about horses in morn:, fill up stump-holes & help start oxen to plough, Peter saw wood in morn:, plough grass-land in Woodfeild, Griffin ill___ George about cattle &e, prune currants____ Self repair a le in lower flume in morn:, repair So end of rag-wheel shaft &e, by 3 o'C, then about sundries & hang door of little-house yard
