16Thursday. James at sundries & harness horses in morn..,

harrow tatoes & at sundries till dinner, then draw

brands together on new land; Tooly & Hogan shovel earth

on road till noon , then repile stumps; Griffin at

sundries till do, brand up for a start, help bridge

drain at middle bars; George at sundries, in garden__

17Friday. James & Tooly draw a load hay to horses loft & a load

oat_straw to Cow_loft in morn.., then brand g .. up

Hogan help pile lumber & saw wood in morn.., help

brand up; Griffin pile lumber & help stow away straw

in morn.., finish off bridges a-x drain on high road__

by about 6 o 'C, then at sundries; George at sundries in garden $91

18Saturday. James gather drift_wood for himself; Tooly & Hogan

grind ax in morn., then at stumps in new

land; Griffin sundries in morn.., help at stumps;

George at work in garden____ Self took Nance to Horse__

19Sunday. Church A.M.

 

20Monday. James harrow men's tatoes & pile some butter nut

lumber in morn.., draw 3 logs from river to

mill & work sawmill till dinner, then at stumps;

Tooly not here; Hogan & Griffin grind axes & about

sundries in morn.., then at stumps; George about cows

&e, at sundry work in garden & repair g .. mix

21Tuesday. James, Hogan * Griffin in dig & chop about

stumps; Tooly not here, George at sundry

work in garden & about house____ Self to Ottawa__

22Wednesday. James, Hogan, & Griffin dig & chop about

stumps in morn.., then brand up stumps &e,
